Permitted use
Use the services lawfully, within the published plan limits, and with respect for other users and for network security. You need the rights and the lawful authority for the content, mailing lists, software and instructions you place on the service. You are responsible for users you authorise, subject to applicable law and to Rootr’s own obligations. This policy sits alongside the Terms of Service.
Prohibited activities
Do not use the services for malware, phishing, credential theft, unauthorised system access, botnets, denial-of-service attacks, exploitation of vulnerabilities, fraud, unlawful surveillance, illegal sexual content, or other unlawful material. Do not infringe intellectual property, confidentiality or data protection rights, impersonate others, forge routing information, or evade a suspension. Lawful security testing of your own systems needs advance agreement where it could affect shared infrastructure.
Do not send unlawful unsolicited messages, use a purchased or scraped list without a lawful basis and any permission the law requires, or ignore an unsubscribe request. Keep evidence of your authority to mail, accurate sender details, and a working unsubscribe route. A bulk campaign needs the appropriate plan or an approved delivery service, and it has to stay inside the disclosed limits.
Do not overload shared resources, run prohibited mining or abusive automation, bypass a quota, or use storage for a purpose outside the plan. We look at the actual impact and we use proportionate controls. An ordinary legitimate spike is not automatically abuse.
Sensitive data and security
Do not store payment-card security codes, and do not use ordinary hosting as a specialist regulated archive. Confirm with us before you handle a particularly sensitive, large-scale or high-risk dataset. Ordinary correspondence that happens to contain sensitive information still has the protection in the contract. Protect credentials. Report compromise promptly to support@rootr.uk.
Reports and enforcement
Report suspected abuse to support@rootr.uk with the service identifiers, the evidence, and a safe contact route. Do not send unnecessary private material or passwords. We assess the report and we may ask for clarification. An allegation alone does not entitle the reporter to mailbox access, or to the identity of every sender.
We may restrict affected content, sending or services where the terms allow it. We tell the customer where the law allows notice, and we offer a remedy or a review. We preserve or disclose data only where that is lawfully justified. Ask support if you want a person to review a block. We do not promise to monitor all hosted content proactively.
