Rootr is the trading name of the business that operates rootr.uk and the customer portal at cp.rootr.uk. In these documents, Rootr, we and us mean that business. You are the customer named in the accepted order.
We are not registered for VAT and we do not publish a VAT number. The price shown before you pay is the price you pay.
Support, privacy, complaints and abuse reports: support@rootr.uk. These documents do not publish a postal address or a telephone number. No data protection officer is appointed in this version, and no ICO registration number is stated.
Version 1.0. Effective 17 October 2026. A company number and registered office will be added here when they are confirmed for the business taking new orders.

Registration
These terms apply when you register, transfer or renew a domain through Rootr. They are part of the Terms of Service. If a domain is on the order, we arrange registration or renewal through the registrar used by our infrastructure supplier, 20i Limited. You are the registrant unless the order expressly says otherwise. Registration depends on availability and on the registry accepting the name. The rights are governed by the registry and registrar terms supplied before you order, including the Nominet rules for .uk names and the relevant ICANN or registry rules for other names. A name you request is not secured until registration is confirmed.
Nominet’s terms for .uk names are at nominet.uk/uk-domains/policies. ICANN’s registrar and registrant framework is at icann.org.
Renewal, expiry and transfer
Keep the registrant details accurate, and make sure renewal is funded in time. The order states the renewal date, the charge, what happens on expiry, the transfer procedure, and any redemption cost. The shop price is the retail price: a fixed £3 over wholesale where wholesale is £30 or less, and 10% over wholesale above that. Privacy, where offered, is a separate charge shown before you add it.
For a domain renewal we issue the invoice 21 days before the renewal date and send a reminder 7 days before that date. A domain keeps resolving until it is cancelled 28 days after the renewal date. Registering a domain does not automatically cancel hosting, and transferring a domain does not automatically cancel hosting. We do not obstruct a lawful transfer just to keep unrelated hosting. A registry lock or a legal dispute may delay a transfer.
Who you are contracting with
Rootr remains your contracting supplier for a domain you order from us. The registry and the registrar have their own published rules, and those rules apply to the name. We do not drop our own obligations because the registry or registrar is involved.
